I went and really enjoyed the modern art as well as all the fascinating interactive stations across the museum. I would highly recommend going and checking this out. You do need to pay to enter but it isn't that much and it is free to get in on Sundays. Overall I would recommend looking around for little details because I found little Lego Among us characters hidden across the museum which is hilarious. Though I only found four I would assume that there are a few more that I had not come across. These really got the attention of the kids and helped keep them occupied as we explored. I really had a great experience and would strongly recommend for families as well as friends to go and explore the fascinating collection of pieces. And I hope to come again really soon.

I was in Columbus for a couple of concerts and decided to spend a nice quiet Saturday morning at the Columbus Museum of Art. I lucked out and the parking lot was free on Saturday morning! It cost $20 for entry for 1 adult, but I am always happy to support the arts and it was worth it! The museum was absolutely lovely with an excellent selection of works. They encourage picture taking, so I will include some of my favorites. The gift shop was very cool, as well, and I ended up spending enough that my parking would have been free if I had paid! ($50)

This is our first venture here with kids, and I must say the Columbus Museum of Art is 100% wonderful. Everyone we have talked to has been super friendly and helpful. The artwork is inspiring and I was blown away to see works by Picasso and Monet. There are plenty of interactive items for kids.Admission is $18.00 for adults$9.00 for kids(4 and up)/seniors/studentsFree for little onesParking is an additional $5.00, and a gift shop or cafe purchase will validate. They also have a partnership with other museums around the country, so a membership at another museum may cover the admission! We have an Ohio History Connection membership and they are partnered! In conclusion, I absolutely recommend coming here and coming back!!!

I love all the creative ways the Columbus Museum of art engages patrons with opportunities to create our own bits of art after being inspired by what we see. Right now there is a cat exhibit and you have multiple opportunities to tell other patrons about your cat. The post-covid exhibit with photos taken of families during Covid on their porches was interesting though I felt that it might have been a little too cheerful for what the experience of isolation was really like. We survived a PANDEMIC but you wouldn't even know it was that bad from the smiling faces in all the photos. But then again, perhaps the goal of art is to make you think and in that regard, the exhibit did what it was supposed to do. We ate at the cafe after... was good but pricey so probably wouldn't eat there again...

They give discounts for teachers and students which is a good initiative. There are so many great works of art in here but unfortunately I couldn't look into the European paintings section due to lack of time. The selection of items being sold at the museum are great as well.

It's a nice museum. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to go through. There was a crowd waiting for the doors to open so this is a popular spot. Once everyone got inside and went their own ways, it wasn't too crowded. The art was nice and the galleries were easy to navigate. There were spots throughout to stop and think about the art. Some had sticky notes to write messages about the prompts.

Diverse collection, traditional and modern, various culture backgrounds, for a small-medium sized art museum. Well designed and constructed architecture layout. The hallway ceiling deco is a little out of style, mis-matched with the building.

What an awesome place to spend a few hours in Columbus!!!! My friends and I were thrilled to visit the Columbus Museum of Art during our short visit there. The museum is lovely. I was most taken by our fabulous docent, Miss Carole Dale. She was by far the best thing at the museum!!! Her smile, spirit, energy, indomitable knowledge, and willingness to share information about the art and artists amazed me! I even purchased her book, This Life and the Fireworks, from the gift shop after our tour. I was disappointed she had gone for the evening because I would have loved to have had her sign my copy. She first took us to see the painting by the featured artist, Edward Hopper, of his wife pensively gazing from her bedroom window. Next we saw a Picaso, a rare one where Pablo actually wrote words on the painting, and finally in a gallery featuring a fabulous glass work by Dale Chihuly, where Miss Dale gave an awesome explanation of when and how the piece was assembled there at the museum. It was a memorable day, a great experience had by all! If you've never been, you must go and see the wonderful art there waiting for you to behold. The entrances were handicapped accessible, there were elevators, restrooms, and there was parking, museum maps as well.

Amazing museum. Great selection of modern and classic art. I loved wandering from room to room and feeling like I stepped into a new place by turning a corner. Great selection of Impressionism art (which is a favorite of mine) and a fun little gift shop.

Such a lovely collection and soapy opportunities to interact by answering questions to our in display or even make your own art to add to installations. I was even able to upload pictures of my cats to show off. This museum strictly enforces the rules, including a couple I've never seen before but it's worth the visit for sure!

The art is all over the place! Centuries old, only a couple years old! Thankfully they put the art together in wings and you know where and what you’re viewing. There are plenty of chairs, chairs to carry and use, and little cues to help you appreciate the art through different thought processes.. ie: if you were in the picture what would you smell or hear? Thats a neat way to help people see different perspectives of the art! Free on Sundays, not real expensive anyway, staff very helpful. Bathrooms clean, great gift shop and snack and drinks also across from the main counter. What great way to spend an afternoon! Even has a Picasso!

Easy access, pay to park on site, overflow parking across the side street on the east side is free and just as close to the entrance. Handicap accessible from parking lot to and throughout the building. Staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. I went here with a friend using the library culture pass, which does cover parking, so that's pretty awesome. I would say while we spent about 1.5 hours there it's not very full. I expected to spend a day there, but there are not enough open exhibits to do that. Also, the other part of the art museum is only open on weekends. I was pretty disappointed compared to other art musumes. This being said, the gift shop contained some pretty cool and weird stuff. Definitely check it out. Thanks for reading. Pollock, Hopper, Picasso - in Columbus, you say?!It is a great collection for a city this size. Even better are the free Sundays. You can validate your parking for free by spending in the gift shop. Well worth visiting.

The museum was pretty cool. Much smaller and maybe 1/4 the art work of Cincinnati Art Museum. More modern art than classical, older, art. They did have several Monet’s, a Picasso and my favorite a Jackson Pollock. Cost for adult is $18 but Military and up to 6 other guests are free so my daughter and I got to visit for free. Not much in the way of sculpture art.

It was a perfect day to visit the museum. The first floor had an interactive display, which I really loved. The Second floor had some good pieces. The cafe downstairs also had a good food menu.

We went on a Sunday morning to see the Lego display. We also enjoyed the many small displays in the area. The art exhibits are well organized and and, while it was busy, it was not loud or crowded.

Large art gallery with a wide range of collections. There is onsite parking for $7 - well worth it for the convenience and if you purchase anything in the cafe or gift shop it is automatically discounted.

quiet, ambient vibes and very well planned out for visitors. The collection was exquisite. From Gertrude stein to hopper to Matisse. Good vibes, and very much a walkable and in under 2 hours visit. Idk about worth $10 - given Toledo and CLE are free.

One of the best art museum experiences! Went on a Sunday (free!) and was delighted by all the diverse people having a great time checking out all the great art. Smaller gallery rooms make it easier to digest. Whoever is curating is doing a phenomenal job. Love all the local folk artists right next to the well-known “masters.” Great representation of women and queer artists, too. Fun exhibits (cats!) and interactive spaces for kids of all ages. There wasn’t a stuffy bone in this museum’s body and it made for an absolutely inspiring day. Also a great outdoor space w/ a DJ and lawn for play.
