What do you need to harvest in Farming Simulator 22? ›

You need a harvester with a grain header to harvest your crops. You need a trailer to transport and sell the harvested crops.

You need to cultivate the field before sowing, so your crops can properly grow. Compared to plowing, cultivating is done much faster. But, they don't prevent weeds from growing.

After harvest you cultivate ( or bale/collect straw if you dropped straw), then prepare field for nest crop. Selling equipment is done at the shop. A 'basket' symbol denotes the shop on the map. Conversely, you can select your tractor on the map and send it to the shop.

From August onwards, parsnips are ready for harvesting. To harvest this vegetable, you need to connect your harvester to your tractor. Once you are finished, you have two options: Either you unload the harvester directly into a trailer or you need vegetable pallets.

Harvest. Now to harvest the crop, you will need to attach you header to your combine, lower the header and get to work.

The roots are ready to harvest from autumn onwards, although it's best to delay until after the first hard frost for the sweetest flavour. They're very hardy and can be left in the ground right through winter, to be dug up whenever needed, for a tasty home-grown treat.

To harvest and bale grass, you need to buy 1 Mower or Mower attachment, 1 Cultivator (the last one can be reused), 1 Planter/Fertilizer, and finally 1 Bale wrapper. You need a Grass Mower and a Grass Bale wrapper. I recommend using one of your tractors or buying another one and adding a mower attachment.
